BONUS: "Endless" Cello
Supplement
As a bonus to this already massive collection,
I've thrown in four patches of extra-long bowed samples. Each
one has multiple velocity layers to capture the various degrees
of attack one can have with the instrument. There are no gaps in
sound with these samples, they are continuous and as expressive
as you could ask.
Non-Vibrato
an icy, clear non vibrato sound. listen
here Rich Vibrato a four-velocity mapped blend of
really creamy cello listen
here Light Vibrato similar to "Rich Vibrato"
this is a four-velocity mapped blend of smooth cello that also
doesn't have a difinitive end Shinehead the most
sonically adventurous segment of this collection consists of me
bowing the string with the wood-side of my carbon-fiber Rolland
bow. It's sonic qualities resemble music coming through
old grammophone, but with full-bodied richness of a traditional
bowed tone. It recalls a faded photograph or a damaged
transmission, yet it's all naturally done with no effects.

I've
also included over 750 Cello licks and loops.
I separated them into 80 bpm, 90 bpm, 100 bpm, 110 bpm, 120 bpm
and 130 bpm. Some loops are played in a 4/4 meter and some (like
in example 3) are played in a 3/4 meter. I trust you're all
savvy enough to mix up the meters on your own, though. These
loops are meant to be chopped up, mangled and sent through your
own personal creative blender.

COMING
SOON: The Cello Soundbank 2.0 for Gigastudio 3 and other sample
formats.
“A
gem... a one of a kind product. If you compare samples to food,
then while other libraries can be considered beef or chicken,
this one would be a spice. Add in small doses to enhance flavor
and bring out the hidden layers of the main ingredients!"

Sampler featuring loops, "Sul Ponticello" Patch
(Kontakt) and MP3s
This
sampler isn't meant to be a replacement to the Vienna String
Library. In fact, this Sample Library does what other string
libraries do not: it explores and gives to you the detail, nuance
and personality of one instrument and its performer. In this case
it's me, Cosmo D. I used the creation of this sound library to
explore the nuances of the cello and unlock its hidden secrets
How
to acquire the soundbank
The cost of the soundbank is
$49.99 (+s&h) United States Dollars. If you like what
you see and hear, you can make a payment through paypal below.
I'll
then ship the Soundbank Via first-class Media Mail.
At
this point the Bank has been mapped to the NI Kontakt
sampler. If you own samplers like Giga, Halion or Reason, fear
not. All the raw files will be included in the CD, and are laid
out in an organized way, so you can map them to your liking, with
'official' sample maps for these formats coming soon. Also, I
will be adding new patches to the library free-of-charge, so
consider this as an investment into all things cello.
peace Cosmo
D
